Admissions

Admission Process

The academic year is divided into three terms. The first term runs from September to December. The second term is from January to March and the last term is from April to June. The nursery calendar is available on the Parents Online Management Portal for term start and end dates.

Most children start at nursery in September, however registrations are welcome at any time during the year and enrolment takes place throughout the year depending on space availability. Based on the child’s suitability and degree of readiness to start at nursery we will allocate the child to the age appropriate class.

General nursery timings are from 8:00 am – 12:30 pm. Day care and early drop off facilities available.

The Office is open from Sunday - Thursday 7.00am – 5:00 pm. Parents are advised to visit the nursery to tour the facility.

Age Guidelines

Children must be above 2 months and less than four years old at the time of enrolment. If children are assessed as developmentally ready for being promoted to the next age grouping during the academic year, the recommendation for promotion will be discussed with the parent at the time and promotion will take place after receiving parental approval.

Settling in Policy and

Transition periods can be stressful for children, parents and practitioners alike. We aim to make the move a positive experience for all concerned. Parents and children have access to an appropriate settling-in period when each child first joins the Nursery, dependent on each child's needs.

We aim to ensure that your child has a gradual and happy start to their time at Kinderwood Nursery.
