Working Together – Building Relationships
Parents are our partners in ensuring that their child’s best interests are met. We believe a positive parent-teacher relationship goes a long way in realizing a child’s true potential. We welcome parents to work alongside us to monitor and be part of their child’s first important stages of Early Education.
Settling in Policy and Procedure
Transition periods can be stressful for children, parents and practitioners alike. We aim to make the move a positive experience for all concerned. Parents and children have access to an appropriate settling-in period when each child first joins the Nursery, dependent on each child’s needs. We aim to ensure that your child has a gradual and happy start to their time at Kinderwood Nursery.
Communication
Communication is vital. This is why we have day-to-day interactions, newsletters, parent-teacher meetings and term-based events such as National Day, Sports Day and various celebrations. THE EDUCATION MANAGEMENT PORTAL is a great communication tool where parents can follow the development of their child in the nursery. Parents can view images and daily reports of their children, get reminders and notifications and read newsletters. All communications and data are held private and secure.
Children’s progress is observed, recorded and assessed throughout the year. This information is conveyed at least once each term. Our parent-teacher meetings are held thrice a year to give you the opportunity to visit the nursery and meet your child’s teacher. You are welcome to contact us whenever you need any information or guidance regarding your child.
Policies and Procedures
Kinderwood Nursery has several Policies and Procedures in place which include all aspects of Child Health, Safety and Protection. These Policies and Procedures are available to parents on the Online Education Management Portal.
